Frequently Asked Questions
How does Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ work?
Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ uses powerful steam to loosen dirt, grease, limescale, and build-up from different surfaces in the home.
You fill the water tank, choose the desired steam level, and let the machine heat up. After approx. 15 seconds, it is ready to use. The steam helps make cleaning more effective — completely without chemicals.
Do I need to use cleaning products with it?
No. PureSteam Pro™ cleans using steam only, so you do not need to use chemical cleaning products.
This makes it suitable for anyone who wants a simpler, chemical-free, and flexible way to clean the home.
How quickly is it ready to use?
PureSteam Pro™ heats up in approx. 15 seconds, so you can quickly get started with your cleaning.
Once the machine is warm, you can adjust the steam level according to the surface and the task.
Which surfaces can I use it on?
You can use PureSteam Pro™ on many different areas in the home, including kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, grout, fixtures, ovens, textiles, and hard-to-reach areas.
We always recommend testing on a less visible area first, especially when using it on delicate materials or surfaces you are unsure about.
What are the different nozzles used for?
The included nozzles and brushes make it easy to adapt PureSteam Pro™ to different cleaning tasks.
You can use the brushes for grout, tiles, and more stubborn dirt, the scrapers for smooth surfaces and hard-to-reach areas, and the angled nozzle for corners and places that are otherwise difficult to reach.
How large is the water tank?
PureSteam Pro™ has a large 1800 ml water tank.
This means you can clean for longer at a time without constantly having to refill water, making it practical for both small and larger cleaning tasks around the home.
Can I adjust the steam power?
Yes. PureSteam Pro™ has 6 adjustable steam levels, allowing you to adapt the steam to the task.
Use a lower level for lighter cleaning or more delicate surfaces, and a higher level for more stubborn dirt, grease, limescale, and build-up.
How hot does the steam get?
The steam reaches a temperature of approx. 100°C.
The hot steam helps loosen dirt, grease, and build-up, making it easier to clean surfaces without chemicals.
What is included in the package?
With Scanovus PureSteam Pro™, you get a complete package with 8 nozzles and practical accessories for different cleaning tasks around the home.
The package includes nylon brushes, a copper brush, scrapers, a glass scraper, an angled nozzle, a towel cover, and a cleaning needle.
Where should I not use Scanovus PureSteam Pro™?
Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ uses hot steam and should therefore only be used on surfaces and materials that can withstand both heat and moisture.
As a general rule, avoid using the steam cleaner on:
- Untreated or unsealed wood
- Laminate and wooden floors that are not approved for steam
- Painted, lacquered, or wax-treated surfaces
- Soft plastic or materials that may deform from heat
- Plaster, cork, and porous natural materials
- Delicate textiles such as velour, acrylic, and similar fabrics
- Wallpaper, older surfaces, or materials with loose paint/coating
If you are unsure, we always recommend testing on a small, less visible area first. This is especially important for furniture, textiles, and surfaces where the material or treatment may vary.
The user is responsible for ensuring that the material can withstand steam, heat, and moisture before using Scanovus PureSteam Pro™.
Why does water come out when I turn it on?
When Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ starts up, a few water droplets may come out together with the steam at the beginning. This is completely normal and can happen while the machine is heating up and building a stable steam flow.
This is usually residual water in the system being pushed out before the steam becomes even and ready for cleaning.
Always keep the nozzle pointed away from yourself, other people, and delicate surfaces during heating. Once the steam comes out steadily, you can begin cleaning.
Is Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ safe to use?
Yes, Scanovus PureSteam Pro™ is safe to use when used correctly.
The machine uses hot steam above 100°C to effectively loosen dirt, grease, and build-up. For this reason, you should always keep the nozzle pointed away from yourself, other people, and pets during use.
The handle is designed to be held comfortably, but the nozzle and hose may become warm during cleaning. We therefore recommend using the included gloves and allowing the accessories to cool down before changing the nozzle.
Always use the product with care and follow the instructions in the manual.
